I think that the royal road of pork cutlet is also a loin cutlet, but there are several types of pork (various prices), so I think it would be better to be chosen with a wallet and taste. Soba is attached to the four seasons of lunch (day-to-day rice bowl), but the cold (rich soba) is more delicious than eating at a bad soba shop Because there are many items, fried food is served in the cold

I don't know, but won't open the door that day?
One of the best Tonkatsu restaurants in Tokyo. A good selection, great service with English menu available. Interior is a mixture of modern and traditional spaces. Highly recommend. There’s usually a queue and going early is advised.
Met a friend here but I prefer not to eat pork, luckily there was shrimp on the mostly tonkatsu menu. Others at the table said the deep fried cutlets were best ever had, shrimp was good too.
If you're looking for a tonkatsu meal to impress, this is it. I am personally not a fan of the dish in general, but I loved the way Maisen prepared it. The crust was a stand out, being a snowy yet crispy exterior to an extremely tender piece of pork. The glaze was beautiful as well. Do expect a little bit of a wait, but it is certainly worth it.
Very popular tonkatsu place. I came here around 2pm and there was still a wait. Line moves fairly fast. Ordered one of the lunch sets for ¥1000 and it came with tonkatsu, rice, soup and salad. Very good deal! The breading was done well and the pork was a good mix of fatty and lean. Service was a bit slow and good but not as friendly compared to some places I’ve been.
Ridiculously crispy katsu with all the sauces and sides. Free refills on rice and soup. You can’t go wrong.
It's a very popular place with the locals, so there might be a bit of a wait after noon but its super worth it. The food is delichious. They have a menu in 4 languages, so if you know absolutely no Japanese you will be okay with just pointing at the pictures. Tonkatsu is made of pork of a breed they worked 7 years on. Its close to Harajuku shopping places, and was easy to find even though its located on a smaller street
Good pork chop place with delicious sets. Nice environment and kids friendly! We arrived at 1:30 on a weekday and just queue for 10 mins.
Super recommended, the food tastes great, served fast, and smells amazing too.Everything taste fresh, the staff are welcoming and super polite, the place prices around the range of $$$ but worth it.
Excellent Tonkatsu place. Expect long queue when you go during lunch. And still some queuing after 2pm. Anyway, definitely worth waiting. We went to sit on tatamis on the second floor. We tried the two types of pork parts they fry. Never had better before. It is very smooth and tasty. It comes with vegetables and all the sauces you need. Highly recommended.
This has to be one of my top 3 restaurants in Japan. Not only do they offer the various grades of pork, but they also cook it to perfection. The sauces are amazing to try (and how they change what elements of the pork come through). This location is, in my opinion is the best as it's also setup in an old bath house so the space has character and can accommodate larger groups. We went with my two yeah old and they had plastic plates and cutlery available. All in all - definitely recommend to everyone who eats pork!
A must for anyone visiting Tokyo. Great service and absolutely delicious food, you will not be disappointed. Be sure to taste the range of sauces available.
We were lucky to arrive just before the lunch rush - so only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. We sat at the counter so could watch the assembly line - which was rather interesting. Food was really tasty and filling!
Excellent for Tonkatsu, very specialized with wide variety of porks. I ordered one of the menus that came with a lot of delicious food and tried many traditional japoneses dishes.
Great place for dinner! I did order the special menu set the 5 set meal per day, which has the most fat out of all. However, i think i expected too high from the special set. It is ok-ok deep fried pork cutlet! Check out some of the tasty photos, if u happen to get hungry around Omotesando then it is a good place to release your hunger here :)4 stars, deducted 1 star from the taste of special pork loin cutlet!
Amazing tonkatsu restaurant. One of the best in Tokyo.
Food 4.5, Atmosphere 5, Service 4, The food is very good and yourself fried a lot. Most of the food comes in trays which I like. The atmosphere is great there’s a small garden and it looks so Japanese style. The service is not so fast they take so long because they have lots of people in the building.
I love tonkatsu, but I didn't know it could be so good. This place let's you choose the cut of meat along with the type of pork you order. They had run out of the one I had wanted (I think it was a pork that eats sweet potatoes) so I chose the black pork, but it did not disappoint. It's so soft and tender it practically melts in your mouth. You also get a variety of sauces to try the katsu with. I would definitely go back.
One of the most famous Tonkatsu restaurants in Tokyo, as the vast number of reviews indicates. Succulent pork suavely prepared by serious people. Some of the regular patrons seem to give off an almost religious glow.
Tonkatsu Maisen Aoyama Honten is one of the most famous chain restaurants for Tonkatsu in Japan. We were impressed by their fried pork chop sandwich which was a collaboration with Family Mart a few years ago. The restaurant was located away from the main streets and we even got lost while looking for it. The decor was modern with an open kitchen set up and the ambience was elegant. Their service was really authentic Japanese, polite and considerate. The options on the menu were various and we had a hard time making up our decisions. We ordered a classic pork chop set and a sashimi & pork chop combination. Their fried pork chop was super juicy inside with crispy & chunky layer. The best way to enjoy is dipping in the special sauce with white radish purée. The sashimi was okay but not special so we highly recommend to have their signature fried pork chop set.
The restaurant has really good atmosphere for dining. The fried pork is awesome and the service is good.
This is THE katsu place you want to eat at. Maisen is pretty popular but man oh man eating her is an experience. The menu is huge because they tell you everything about the different types of meat they serve. Where they are from, what they were fed, etc. Everything is priced differently. There's a huge dinning room in the back that they most likely will sit you at. But I think the counter seating at the front is way more interesting. They seem to only sit single diners there though.
Very well done! They have a selection of parts of the pig you can get your tonkatsu from and a variety of branded meats which all specialize in how the pig was raised to extract the best flavor. You can’t go wrong with any of their selectionsGet the fried oysters, they’re very well prepared! I’m not a sake aficionado but it definitely went down smooth!
